Later this week, Chinese smartphone maker Vivo will be releasing two new Android smartphones – the X9s and X9s Plus. Ahead of their official unveiling on the 6th, the manufacturer has shared a few official renders of the X9s Plus. The renders show the handset in three colors – Matte Black, Gold, and Rose Gold. They also make it quite clear that Vivo hasn’t tweaked the design of the X9s Plus much at all. Both the front as well as the rear of the X9s Plus appear to be very similar to the X9 Plus released late last year. The Vivo X9s as well as the X9s Plus are now up for pre-order in China from JD.com till the 7th of July. On the 8th of July, the two smartphones will go on sale for the first time as part of a flash sale.
In terms of specs, the Vivo X9s Plus is expected to feature a 5.85-inch display with 1080p Full HD resolution. Under the hood, leaks suggest the two handsets will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 with eight Kryo 260 cores clocked at 1.95 GHz. Taking care of graphics processing will be the Adreno 512 GPU, which offers pretty impressive performance for a mid-range mobile GPU. The octa-core chipset will be paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.
In the camera department, the X9s Plus features a 16MP primary camera at the back, while on the front it features a dual selfie camera setup. The X9s too will come with the same 5MP + 20MP dual-camera setup on the front, making the two phones highly desirable for all the selfie fanatics out there. Battery life is expected to be quite impressive as well on the X9s Plus, thanks to a 3920mAh capacity battery. Both smartphones will be running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system with Vivo’s custom UI running on top.
