Huawei will release its Ascend G 300 smartphone to Vodafone UK during this month, according to an official announcement which has just been made. The phone was first mentioned and presented in February this year, so the company is moving really fast. Anyway, until now, there were only few things known about the Huawei G 300, but thanks to our sources we are finally having its full specs list, official release date and price tag, of course all for Vodafone UK.
Huawei is the largest networking and telecommunications equipment supplier from China and world’s second one. So far the company used us with devices that are similar in looks and design with more popular branded-gadgets, like Samsung or Apple. But, from a while Huawei launched interesting smartphones and tablets with good performances and on a low, affordable price, making it the perfect alternative for those who are looking for a cheap but good device. So let’s see what is with this new handset.
The Huawei Ascend G 300 specs will include a 1GHz processor, 2 GB of internal storage memory, a 5 MP camera on the back, a 4 inch WVGA display, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Android on board. The OS version will be the old 2.3 Gingerbread one, though the ICS update is promised for the summer. But we all know how things turn out to be when we are talking about Android and its updates. Anyway, a decent smartphone, with an interesting and appealing design (as you can see in the image from above).
The Ascend G 300 will debut in UK as its release date through Vodafone is set for this month, on April 13th (this Friday). The price tag is £100 ($160) for the SIM free variant and £15.50 ($25) under a one year commitment with Vodafone. Hopefully, we will see the same released on other markets during the following months. But, until further announcements this is all you get. So, if you live in UK and you find the Huawei Ascend G 300 suitable for your needs, take a ride to Vodafone and see it for yourselves.
