Today was a day fool of new Google Play Store entries. After Sony introduced a Nexus-experience variant of its Xperia Z Ultra phablet and LG launched the Google Play Edition of the G Pad 8.3 tablet, Google announced that the Nexus 7 2013 will now be available in white.
Unfortunately, the white livery is not available on all Nexus 7 2013 variants. For the time being, on the the WiFi-only 32 GB model is available for purchase in Panda white. Just like the white Nexus 5, the front panel of the white Nexus 7 2013 is black.
The price of the white Nexus 7 2013 is $269, which is exactly how much you would pay for the WiFi-only 32 GB black model.
If you wanted a white tablet and avoided to buy the Nexus 7 2013 for this particular reason, now it’s the perfect moment to make a move. The new color is available in the US, the UK, and Japan Play Stores and, for the time being, it ships in 1-2 business days.
The technical specifications of the white Nexus 7 2013 WiFi-only 32 GB are the same as the ones of the black mode: 7-inch LED-backlit IPS LCD display with 1920 x 1200 resolution, quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2 GB RAM, 32 GB storage, 5 MP primary camera, and 3,950 mAh battery.
We don’t know whether the new model ships pre-loaded with Android 4.4.2, but if it doesn’t and it comes with Android 4.4, you should be able to upgrade it to the latest version from day one.
Any of you planning to purchase a white Nexus 7? Do you find it better-looking than the black model?
