Sony Xperia Z1 Price Listed by Various European Retailers, Pre-orders Are Live

Xperia Z1 was officially introduced only two days ago at IFA Berlin 2013, but the Sony flagship is already available for pre-order at various European retailers or through the company’s online store. Moreover, certain UK retailers included free content and a free Smartwatch 2 or free QX lens.

If you decide to order the Xperia Z1 from Sony’s online store, hear that the price will be market dependant as follows: €699 in France, Italy, Spain, and Netherlands, €679 in Germany, 5,995 kr (about €865) in Sweden, and £599 (about €711) in the UK.

Even though the most expensive Sony Xperia Z1 is in the UK, the buyers in the region should also be aware of other offers from the British retailers, because there are at least a couple of interesting ones out there.

Fore example, if you take Carphone Warehouse’s offer you only pay £69 up front if you sign a contract worth of £33 per month, but if you pre-order it now you will get a QX lens for free (Cybershot QX10 which has a price of £150) and “content worth £245 (that’s £65 worth of content including top 5 movies, an exclusive movie access pass, and 60 days of free music streaming),” notes Android Authority.

EE has has a great offer if you pre-order the Sony Xperia Z1 from them. If you agree to sign a two-year contract with either Orange or T-Mobile (price may vary depending on carrier and monthly charge), you will receive a Sony Smartwatch 2 gift (which has a price £149).

Anyway, the main selling point of the Sony Xperia Z1 will be the 20.7 MP camera mounted on the back, which boasts about Sony G Lens, autofocus, LED flash, 1/2.3” sensor size, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, image stabilization, HDR, panorama, and support for 1080p@30fps video recording. The front-facing camera has a 2 MP sensor and shoots 1080p videos.

    Big question is the user space for apps on the Xperia Z1 after Sony’s own software. Can you install apps on the SD card? Most Android phone limit you to the internal memory. 11 GB? Anyone know how much will be available. I like the camera but….
