Last year, a startup company called Nextbit had a successful campaign on crowdfounding platform Kickstarter. The project was about a "Cloud first" smartphone called Nextbit Robin, which promised to use cloud storage to free up space on your phone.

Based on Android Lollipop, but with a custom skin on top, Nextbit Robin analyses the apps you don't use and moves them to the cloud along with your photos and videos to make room for other stuff. For this reason, Nextbit is offering 100 GB of free cloud storage with each smartphone you purchase from them.

The Nextbit Robin is now on sale on Amazon.com. Initially available for $399.00, the smartphone is now $100 off. For only $299.99 you will get a nice-looking smartphone and packing a couple of innovative features. However, since Robin is a GSM device it will only work on GSM carriers such as AT&T or T-Mobile. The Nextbit Robin Amazon deal starts today, May 4th, and ends on May 10th.

In case you are wondering what you are getting for the money, you should be glad to hear that Nextbit Robin is based on pretty powerful hardware platform. The device features a 5.2-inch IPS LCD screen with Full HD resolution and a Gorilla Glass 4 protective layer, a 64-bit hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor, 3 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of internal storage on top of the 100 GB of cloud storage guaranteed by Nextbit.

In terms of cameras, the "Cloud first" handset arrives with a 13 MP rear-facing shooter with phase detection autofocus and dual-done flash and a 5 MP user-facing shooter for your selfie and video calling needs. Robin is also equipped with dual front-facing speakers with dual amplifiers, a fingerprint reader embedded into the power button, and a 2,680 mAh battery that should be enough for a full day of mixed usage.

The connectivity features include WiFi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy, a USB Type C port, and Quick Charge 2.0 support. The smartphone has a policarbonate body with mate finish, is 149 mm tall, 72 mm wide, 7 mm thin, and has a weight of 150 grams.

As I was mentioning above, the Amazon Deal for Nextbit Robin starts today and ends next week on May 10th. If you want to order your Nextbit Robin and take advantage of the $100 discount feel free to use the links below.
