HTC’s Jason Mackenzie announced last month via Twitter that the HTC One will jump directly to Android 4.3 in September, skipping the Android 4.2.2 update. The same HTC rep also said that the Android 4.3 update will also become available for download for Droid DNA around the same time.
With the month of September almost coming to an end, the Android 4.3 update for HTC One and Droid DNA is nowhere to be found. Fortunately, there are some good news for the HTC One Developer Edition owners, as Jason Mackenzie recently tweeted that the firmware update will hit US this week. He also revealed that the HTC One owners living in Canada will also get the Android 4.3 update by "month end."
He also said in a second tweet that the Taiwan-based company is "working hard & optimistic for U.S. Carrier certification," without revealing the ETA for the carrier HTC One units. How about the Android 4.3 update for Droid DNA? No word on that.
HTC One Developer Edition's technical specs are identical with the ones of the original handset. The only major difference is that the Developer Edition is only available with 64 GB of internal storage. I remind you that the terminal comes with a 4.7-inch 1080p Super LCD3 display, Snapdragon 600 SoC (quad-core 1.7 GHz Krait 300 CPU + Adreno 320 GPU), 2 GB of RAM, 4 MP Ultrapixel camera, all standards of WiFi, LTE, NFC, IR blaster, and Bluetooth 4.0.
Are you upset that the Android 4.3 update for HTC One has been delayed or you are already running an Android 4.3-based custom ROM?
