Samsung has started rolling out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Galaxy Note 2, but it hasn't reached all users yet, unfortunately.
It seems like it will take a few more weeks until everyone can enjoy the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update on their Galaxy Note 2, but nothing is very clear yet, as Samsung failed to mention when will everyone receive it.
We've been researching this issue and we discovered that there are a lot of users who are still waiting for the update. Until now it rolled out mostly in Europe for the Galaxy Note 2 N7100 model. If you haven't received yours yet, you can follow our guide to perform a manual update.
We don't have any precise date, but we expect everyone to receive the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update by the end of May. Hopefully Samsung will manage to deliver it to all users by the end of May, but this also depends on carriers, which are usually the ones that delay updates.
Unfortunately for users, this might be the latest major update for the Galaxy Note 2, so you won't get the Android 4.5 or 5.0 most likely.
For those who aren't patient enough to get their update, you can always flash a custom ROM on your Galaxy Note 2. Some are really fast and stable and can make your device much better. Head over to our update page and find a good Android 4.4.2 KitKat ROM for your Galaxy Note 2.
We are curious if you've received the Android 4.4.2 KitKat OTA update on your Samsung Galaxy Note 2 yet. Please let us know in the comments. We know that most European countries received it, but we don't have many information about the rest of the world yet.
Once we find out more information about this, we will let you know.
