We first heard about Android 4.4.3 Update for Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7, Nexus 10 and other supported devices for a few weeks, but, the new firmware hasn't been released yet.

After the folks at Sprint announced they will release the Android 4.4.3 KitKat for their Nexus 5 variant mid-April, they backtracked saying they are facing issues with the new software. Several days later a Sony Xperia Z Ultra Google Play Edition running Android 4.4.3 visited BluetoothSIG, confirming that the new update will be rolled out to other devices, too.

Even though it was initially believed that the Android 4.4.3 will be rolled out exclusively for the Nexus 5 to address a camera bug, the most recent reports are indicating that the new firmware will also hit devices like Nexus 5, Nexus 7, Nexus 10, or Google Play Edition handsets.

New details about Android 4.4.3 come from well-known HTC developer LlabTooFer. According to a post on his blog the Android 4.4.3 update will be rolled out for the HTC One M8 Google Play Edition and One M7 Google Play Edition in May - June time frame. The 4.4.3 update schedule he got his hands on also reveal that HTC will roll out the new update for their Sense smartphones.

If LlabTooFer's information is to be believed, than the Android 4.4.3 Update for Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7, Nexus 10 and other supported devices should be released in May - June, along with the one for HTC One M8 GPE.

The Android 4.4.3 update will be a minor update, therefore don't expect anything spectacular besides performance improvements and bug fixes. Anyway, recent leaks showed that Google may be planning to revamp the Phone Dialer app in the new update.

Unfortunately, there's no way to verify the veracity of the report, therefore we are advising you do take it with a pinch of salt.

I lost whatever respect i had for Google (which wasn't much) for their initial NO RESPONSE attitude when this issue(s) first came up in Dec.2013 and all this SLOW WALKING in regard's to this update fix just cemented my dislike for this company!! #MAJORBIGTIMEFAIL

maybe a more accurate term would be click-bait-and-switch.

Bullshit. There is no evidence supporting the fact that the Nexus family of devices will be getting the Android 4.4.3 update in May-June.

Just because the Google Play edition phones might be doesn't mean jack as the Nexus devices always get the updates first by a couple weeks. Nice click bait story here.

Well technically may-june mens any time during those months. Sine it's the 29th today, the nexus devices would have to be updated before the 1st of may for the article to be wrong.

Not sure how it can be a click bait story then.

It's B.S. (nobody aside from yourself used the word wrong) because it is using speculation as confirmation of updates. The presence of a Sony device receiving BT SIG certification in no way correlates to any device getting any update.

Aside from that, you can tell it's click bait because it is not a carefully laid out article. It was slapped together quickly, complete with grammatical errors, for no other reason but to update the page with another 4.4.3 blog entry. A clear effort to generate more clicks.... Sounds like click bait to me.

Exactly. This man gets it.

Speculation all around. Also known as bullshit.

Drago · 5 years ago

Even if they end up being correct by default because May is right around the corner, it's bullshit. It's pure speculation and not grounded in fact and there's no way Google is waiting till June to drop this update when the next major update will appear the same month at Google I/O.

It's another article put up with Android 4.4.3 in the title to get page clicks. One of hundreds by crappy news scraping sites.
