The ZNH5Y CM 13.0 Release based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow AOSP is one of the biggest updates that CyanogenMod team has done since the first Nightly CM 13 build was rolled out.

This new official upgrade from CM team features the name CM13.0-ZNH5Y and it is based on the Android 6.0.1 r61 AOSP builds, which is a major version bump, as the previous SNAPSHOT Stable CM 13.0 Release was based on the Android 6.0.1 r17 build. If you were running previous CM 13.0 Marshmallow stable builds or a Nightly CM 13.0 ROM, then you should use this post and install the new custom ROM build right away.

Here are some of the best new features you will get after installing CM 13.0 r61 Marshmallow ROM: Wi-Fi Tethering Turn Off Automatically option, Notification Light Controls for Profiles, So not Disturb / Priority Mode, Privacy Guard and App Data Usage tweaks, BluetoothDevices battery support, Lockscreen Wallpaper picker, Lockscreen Weather, and new Weather Plugin support, Lockscreen Blur Support, Live Lockscreen support, CyanogenMod apps, New LiveDisplay hardware enhancements and API, Snap Camera (only for several models), Gello Browser for specific devices, new Translations, new CM SDK APIs, and the latest Android Security fixes. You can check the full list of tweaks here.

You can dirty flash the CM 13.0 ZNH5Y Android 6.0.1 STABLE ROM over the previous other ZNH0E STABLE build only. If you were packing a Nightly release or an older build of CM 13 ROM, then you should do a clean installation in order to avoid the appearance of any major bugs and errors.

Here's a list of all the devices that are supporting the new CM 13.0 ZNH5Y  Stable Release: Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Oppo R7 Plus, Oppo R5/ R5s Intl, ASUS ZenPad 8.0, LG G3 beat, LG G3s, LG G2 Mini, Android One, Various Galaxy S5 models, Galaxy S4 Verizon, Galaxy S4 TMO, Galaxy S4 Sprint, International Galaxy S3 I9300, ASUS Zenfone 2 laser/ Selfie, Motorola Photon Q, Motorola Razr, old Sprint and Verizon Galaxy Nexus, Moto Droid Razr, 2014 Moto G, 2014 Moto G 4G, Nexus 6, Droid Bionic, Galaxy S4 Mini Intl, Galaxy S4 Mini 3G, Moto G 4G, 2015 Moto E, Huawei Ascend Mate 2, Droid 4, Nexus 4, Nexus 10, GSM Galaxy Nexus, HTC One Dual SIM, Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 LTE, US Cellular Galaxy S5, AT&T Galaxy S4, Verizon Galaxy S5, Sprint Galaxy S5, T-Mobile Galaxy S5, Sony Xperia SP, Verizon HTC One M9, GSM HTC One M9, Nexus 5, and numerous other models.

You can download the new custom ROMs files designed for your Android phone/ tablet from here.

Note that you will need to have a rooted firmware running on your device, and a custom Recovery based on the latest versions of either CWM or TWRP custom Recovery builds. You should run a custom Android 6.0.1 ROM on your phone only if you are an advanced user and you wish to tinker with your phone's OS.

Note that all the custom Android ROMs are not official operating systems released by your phone's manufacturer, which means that you will find errors and bugs that might make your Android experience less than OK. These custom ROMs should be flashed only by advanced users who want to get a taste of an almost Vanilla Android 6.0.1 ROM, something that is very hard to get when major Android devices are packing bloatware and other extra files added by their OEMs.
