The HTC Desire 816 is a mid-range smartphone introduced by the Taiwan-based company at Mobile World Congress 2014 in February and released on the market a month later the same year.
The HTC Desire 816 packs a 5.5-inch Super LCD2 screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and a pixel density of 267 ppi. The terminal runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box, customized with HTC’s Sense interface.
HTC Desire 816 measures 156.6 x 78.7 x 7.9 mm and has a weight of 165 grams. It’s powered by a Qualcomm MSM8928 Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.6 GHz, has 1.5 GB of RAM, and a 2,600 mAh battery.
The mid-ranger arrives with 8 GB of native storage expandable using microSD cards up to 128 GB, has a 13 MP rear-facing camera with Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, simultaneous HD video and image recording, HDR, and 1080p@30fps video recording, and a 5 MP secondnary cam.
The connectivity features of the HTC Desire 816 include HSDPA, 42 Mbps, HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps; LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, and microUSB 2.0.
