HTC Desire Eye is a high-end smartphone developed by the Taiwan-based company that was introduced to the public in October 2014 and released in select markets in November the same year. HTC Desire Eye is orientated to the customers who are taking a lot of selfies, sporting a 13 MP user-facing camera.
HTC Desire Eye is 151.7 mm tall, 73.8 mm wide, and 8.5 mm thin, while having a weight of 154 grams. It’s IPX7 certified being dust proof and water resistant up to 1 meter and 30 minutes. It packs a 5.2-inch display with 1080 x 1920 resolution, a pixel density of 424 ppi, and Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Desire Eye is running Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box customized with HTC’s proprietary Sense 6.0 UI. The processing tasks are handled by a quad-core 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 801 processor paired with 2 GB of RAM. It comes with 16 GB internal storage, microSD support (up to 128 GB), WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, and microUBS 2.0.
The smartphone’s primary camera has a 13 MP sensor with autofocus, dual-LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR, and Full HD video recording. The secondary camera unit also comes with 13 MP resolution, autofocus, and dual-LED flash.
