Lenovo Tab 2 A8 is a tablet announced by the Chinese company in March 2015 during Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The 8 incher was released on the market in June 2015.
Lenovo Tab 2 A8 measures 210 x 125 x 8.9 mm and has a weight of 360 grams. It’s available in two connectivity options: WiFi-only and WiFi+LTE. The tablet integrates an 8.-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and a pixel density of 184 ppi.
Lenovo’s tablet is running Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box, while being equipped with 16/32 GB of internal storage, 1 GB of RAM, and support for microSD cards up to 32 GB. The LTE model features a Mediatek MT8735 chipset, while the WiFi-only model is powered by a Mediatek MT8161 chipset, both based on a quad-core 1.3 GHz CPU.
On the back of the Lenovo Tab 2 A8 there’s a 5 MP main camera with autofocus and geo-tagging, while the secondary camera has a 2 MP sensor. In terms of connectivity it arrives with WiFi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and microUSB 2.0. The tablet is kept alive by a non-removable Li-Ion 4,290 mAh battery that promises up to 8 hours of multimedia playback.
