Back in September 2014, Lenovo introduced the new Tab S8. The slate was made available for purchase later the same month in both WiFi-only and WiFi + 4G flavours.
Lenovo Tab S8 is powered by an Intel Atom Z3745 chipset with a quad-core CPU clocked at 1.8 GHz. The tablet manufactured by the Chinese company also integrates an 8.0-inch IPS LCD display with 1200 x 1920 resolution and a pixel density of 283 ppi.
Tab S8 has 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, and a microSD slot that accepts cards up to 32 GB. On the back of the tablet there’s an 8 MP camera with autofocus, LED flash, and geo-tagging, while the front panel accommodates a 1.6 MP camera sensor with HD video recording capabilities.
Lenovo Tab S8 arrives with connectivity features such as HSPA, LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, FM radio, and microUSB 3.0. It measures 209.8 x 123.8 x 7.9 mm and has a weight of 299 grams.
The 8-incher is running Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box, with a custom Lenovo skin on top of it. The 4,290 mAh battery hiding underneath Tab S8’s case should be able to provide 7 hours of media playback.
