Samsung Galaxy S5 mini is aimed at the customers who are in search of a more compact and cheaper smartphone that has a decent hardware platform. It was announced in June 2014 and released in July 2014.
Samsung Galaxy S5 mini measures 131.1 x 64.8 x 9.1 mm and has a weight of 120 grams, while sporting a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display with HD (720 x 1280) resolution and 326 ppi pixel density. It’s equipped with a fingerprint scanner and it’s dust and water resistant with IP67 rating.
The device is running Android 4.4.2 KitKat with TouchWiz UI out of the box, but it’s upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop. The processing tasks are handled by an Exynos 3 Quad 3470 chipset with quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex A7 CPU and Mali 400MP4 GPU. It features 1.5 GB of RAM, 16 GB storage, and microSD support up to 64 GB.
Samsung Galaxy S5 mini packs an 8 MP primary camera with autofocus, LED flash, and full HD video recording support, and a 2.1 MP secondary cam. In terms of connectivity it arrives with LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, NFC, IR blaster, and microUSB 2.0. It has a 2,100 mAh battery.
