Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus is an upgraded variant of Sammy’s flagship smartphone for 2014. Galaxy S5 Plus was announced by the South Korea-based phone maker in October 2014 and it was made available for purchase in select countries in November 2014.
The smartphone is 142 mm tall, 72.5 mm wide, and 8.1 mm thin, while having a weight of 145 grams. It integrates a fingerprint scanner, a rear-mounted heart rate monitor, and it’s dust and water resistant with IP67 rating. The display is a 5.1-inch unit with Super AMOLED technology, Full HD resolution, and Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus comes pre-loaded with Android 4.4.2 KitKat with TouchWiz UI on top of it. It features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset based on four Krait 450 cores clocked at 2.5 GHz and an Adreno 420 GPU. It has 2 GB of RAM, 16/32 GB of internal storage, and support for microSD cards up to 128 GB.
The device has a 16 MP primary cam with phase detection autofocus, LED flash, 1/2.6” sensor size, 1.12 µm pixel size, Dual Shot, Simultaneous HD video and image recording, geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, HDR, and 4K video recording support, and a 2 MP secondary cam. The battery is a Li-Ion 2,800 mAh cell.
