Back in January 2014, at Consumers Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Samsung introduced a new line-up of high-end tablets called Galaxy Tab Pro. The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is the smallest of them and it was released on the market in February 2014.
As its name suggests, Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 arrives with an 8.4-inch screen. We are dealing with Super Clear LCD technology, a resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels, and a pixel density of 359 ppi. The tablet is running Android 4.4 KitKat and it’s upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is powered by a quad-core 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800 processor with Adreno 330 GPU, paired with 2 GB of RAM, 16/32 GB storage and microSD up to 64 GB. It’s available in two body colors (Black and White) and three connectivity options (WiFi-only, WiFi+3G, and WiFi+LTE).
The tablet measures 219 x 128.5 x 7.2 mm, while weighing in at 331 grams. It has a 4,800 mAh battery, a 2 MP user-facing camera, and an 8 MP primary shooter wit autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, face and smile detection, and support for recording Full HD videos. Connectivity-wise it arrives with WiFi ac, BT 4.0 LE, IR blaster, GPS, and microUSB 2.0.
