Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 was officially announced by the South Korean company in June 2014. The slate was made available for purchase in select countries in July 2014.
The tablet is 212.8 mm tall, 125.6 mm wide, and only 6.6 mm thin, while weighing in at 298 grams. It’s available in Dazzling White and Titanium Bronze color options and with either WiFi-only or WiFi+LTE connectivity.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE is powered by a Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz and an Adreno 330 GPU, while the WiFi-only model relies on an octa-core Exynos 5 Octa 5420 SoC with Quad-core 1.9GHz Cortex-A15 & quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 CPUs and Mali T628 MP6 GPU. The tablet also arrives with 3 GB of RAM, 16/32 GB storage, and microSD support up to 128 GB.
The terminal comes pre-loaded with Android 4.4.2 KitKat and it’s upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop. It features an 8.4-inch Super AMOLED display with 1600 x 2560 resolution, while brining connectivity features such as WiFi ac, Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy, GPS, infrared blaster, and microUSB 2.0. Tab Pro 8.4 also packs a 4,900 mAh battery that promises up to 80 hours of media playback.
