As you may know already, the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact is a compact variant of the Xperia Z3 flagship. Unlike other smartphones with screens smaller than 5 inches, the Xperia Z3 Compact is underpinned by a powerful hardware platform.
Sony Xperia Z3 Compact packs a 4.6-inch IPS LCD display with 720 x 1280 resolution, 319 ppi pixel density, and Triluminos technology. The device is equipped with a 20.7 MP primary camera with autofocus, LED flash, HDR, 4K and slow motion video capture, and a user-facing 2.2 MP selfie camera.
Underneath the 8.6 mm thin body, there’s a Snapdragon 801 chipset with quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 CPU and Adreno 330 GPU, along with all the connectivity features worth of a modern smartphone including HSDPA, 42 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.8 Mbps; LTE, Cat4, 50 Mbps UL, 150 Mbps DL, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy, NFC, and microUSB 2.0. The technical specifications list also includes 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage, microSD slot (up to 128 GB supported), and a 2,600 mAh battery.
Sony Xperia Z3 Compact was released pre-loaded with Android 4.4.4 KitKat, of course, customized with Sony’s proprietary skin. The Z3 Compact is planned to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update.
