Sony Xperia Z3v is the Verizon variant of Sony’s flagship smartphone for the second half of 2014. It was officially made available for purchase in the US in October and, of course, it’s available exclusively through Verizon’s network.
Sony Xperia Z3v shares most of the technical specifications of the standard Z3. It comes with a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD (1080 x 1920) resolution and 424 ppi pixel density and it’s powered by a quad-core 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 processor. The handset also packs 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of native storage, and support for microSD cads up to 128 GB.
Sony Xperia Z3v is 146 mm tall, 72 mm wide, 7.3 mm thin, and weighs in at 152 grams. It’s IP68 certified being both dust proof and water resistant over 1 meter and 30 minutes. Connectivity-wise it arrives with HSDPA, 42 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.8 Mbps; LTE, Cat4, 50 Mbps UL, 150 Mbps DL, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, and microUSB 2.0.
On the back of the Xperia Z3v there’s a 20.7 MP camera with autofocus, LED flash, and 4K video recording support, while the front panel accommodates a 2.2 MP camera sensor. The device runs Android KitKat out of the box.
