Odin for Samsung devices is one of the most used tools, as it allows users to upgrade their phones with new firmware before its official Android over-the-air OS updates.
Odin3 has reached version 3.13.3 and it is compatible with the latest 2019 Android 9.0 Pie firmware updates. With each new major Android iteration that gets launched we will also get a brand new Odin upgrade, as the tool has to keep up with all the new firmware security features.
The Odin3 v3.13.3 is perfectly safe to use, as it can be mostly used to install brand new official updates, and it can be used by beginners, too. However, please note that in order to avoid losing any data files, then you should be an advanced user when operating Odin tool.
Before starting to use Odin 3.13.3 you need to make sure that you are running the latest Samsung USB drivers on your computer.
Download the Samsung USB Drivers for Windows computers from here.
The above drivers are 100% developed and designed by Samsung and they need to be installed on your PC, as otherwise you cannot connect your Samsung phone with it.
Odin should work with your computer if it has the above drivers installed, but you will also have to enable the USB Debugging option from your Samsung device Developer Options menu.
If you cannot find Developer Options, then you should go to Settings> About Phone> Software Info. In the Software Menu you need to tap 7 times on the Software version and Developer Options will be enabled.
Return to Settings and Developer Options will be listed at the bottom of the Settings menu.
Now you can download ODIN 3.13.3 from here and use it on your computer.
