We’ve met a lot of people who don’t know how to take a screenshot on their Android devices and on some it’s quite hard, though taking a screenshot on the Galaxy S3 it’s much easier. But there are some settings that need to be made before being able to take the screenshot.

Fortunately you don’t need any app and neither root access to take a screenshot on the Samsung Galaxy S3. Samsung has implemented an awesome feature in their latest smartphone, which you can use very easily with just your hand.

There are two method of taking a screenshot and you can choose the one you prefer most.

Like I said, there are two methods, and here’s the first one: Press the power and home buttons simultaneously. The screenshot will be taken after you hold the buttons for 1-2 seconds and saved in your Gallery. You can then share it, edit it or do whatever you want with it.

The method two is even easier, but you have to enable it, because it’s disabled by default. So head over to Settings > Motion > Hand Motion and check Palm swipe to capture. Once you enabled this, you only have to move your palm from the left to the right or from the right to the left and it immediately takes a screenshot.

Both methods might not work for you the first time, because you need a bit of skill. But try it a few times and you will learn how to take a screenshot very fast.

Of course you can also use a dedicated app or a shortcut on the power menu, but you need a rooted Galaxy S3, so it’s much easier to use the default function Samsung implemented in the device.
