A while ago there were some rumors talking about a new Huwaei smartphone, unofficially dubbed Ascend D2, packing 5-inch full HD display. The Huawei Ascend D2 was spotted in some benchmark test logs, but at that time the details about its specs were shallow, except for some speculations regarding its processor.
Well, today we return with a picture of the Huwaei Ascend D2, its technical specifications and other interesting details.
The Huawei Ascend D2 will reportedly arrive on both the European and North American markets, as the China-based company wants to compete against other phone makers, introducing hig-end smartphones with prices below the rivals.
The Ascend D2 seems like an interesting alternative to other smartphones! We're talking about a powerful device, based on a quad-core Huawei K3V chipset, packing a 13 megapixel camera, front-facing camera with 1.3 megapixels sensor and a 3,000 mAh battery.
My guess is that we will see the Ascend D2 in flash at CES 2013, in Las Vegas, or maybe Huawei will wait for Mobile World Congress and unveil its new flagship smartphone in February 2013.
Regarding the design of the Huawei Ascend D2, if the slide above is real, it seems that we are dealing with a combination between the design of Huawei Ascend P1 and Meizu MX2. You can see that D2's display has a thin bezel around it, and the camera sensor is blinding well with the back lid. Let's hope that its price will be below the one of the other 5-inch rivals.
