The Chinese tech giant Lenovo announced that it will be releasing a new version if the Lenovo K6 Power on January 31st. The new model will come with 4 GB of RAM and will be launched in India. The device was originally unveiled in September 2016 during the IFA event that took place in Berlin, while on the Indian market it was introduced at the end of November. Last year, the manufacturer released two versions of the smartphone including one with 2 GB and another with 3 GB of RAM. It seems that the Lenovo K6 Power with 4 GB of RAM will hit the Indian shores at the end of this month.
At the moment, the handset can be bought only via Flipkart in the country, one of the most important local retailers, and it looks like the 4 GB of RAM model will also be exclusively sold by Flipkart. The phone will be put for sale alongside other Lenovo branded products such as the Lenovo A7700, the Lenovo A Plus, the Lenovo K6 Note and the Lenovo K6, which means that the company will be offering a lot of smartphones that fit in the mid-tier category. The phone itself is similar to the model released in November, the only difference being the increased amount of RAM and storage space.
The initial Lenovo K6 Power that was introduced in 2016 came with 2 GB or 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB or 32 GB of flash memory, respectively. Well, this new variant includes 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of native storage. We don't have to tell you that the device will cost a bit more that the previous versions, ass it seems that it will be sold in exchange for Rs. 10,999 ($161) on the Indian market. When it comes to color, the consumer will have to choose between Silver, Dark Grey and Gold options.
As far as the rest of the specs go, the Lenovo K6 Power will sport a Full HD display that will measure 5 inches and will have a resolution of 1920 x 1080. As mentioned before, it will feature 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. Powering the handset will be a Qualcomm made Snapdragon 435 octa-core chipset. which will be helped by an Adreno 505 GPU for graphics rendering. On the back side of the smartphone there will be 13 MP shooter developed by Sony, and on the front side you can find an 8 MP secondary camera designed for video calls and selfies. On the software side of things, the phone will be running Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, and on top of the OS the company added its own custom interface. The in-built storage of the Lenovo K6 Power can be expanded via microSD card by up to 128 GB. Moreover, the terminal has two SIM card slots and one of them will work as a microSD card slot as well. Last but certainly not least, the hardware will be kept working by a large battery with a 4,000 mAh capacity.
