Lenovo has launched a new variant of the K5 Note in Indian market, packing 64GB of onboard storage. The K5 Note was first launched in the country in August last year. Until now, the phablet was available in 3GB and 4GB RAM variants, with both variants sporting 32GB of onboard storage. Priced at Rs.13,499, the Vive K5 Note will be available for purchase starting today, exclusively from leading online retailer Flipkart. It will be available in two colors – Grey and Gold. If you don’t mind living with 32GB of onboard storage, the 4GB RAM variant with 32GB of storage is now on sale at Rs.12,499 on Flipkart.
The Lenovo K5 Note features a 5.5-inch IPS display with 1080 x 1920 Full HD resolution, with a claimed maximum brightness of 450 nit and a 1000:1 static contrast ratio. Powering the phablet is the MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8 GHz, integrating the Mali-T860 GPU clocked at 550 MHz. As we discussed above already, the Vibe K5 Note comes with either 3GB or 4GB or RAM, along with 32GB or 64GB of onboard memory. There is a Hybrid Dual SIM slot on offer, which means you do have the option of expanding the memory further by up to 128GB if you only use a single SIM card slot.
At the rear, the K5 Note features a 13MP primary camera with phase detection autofocus technology, an f/2.2 aperture lens, and a dual-tone LED flash. For taking selfies, there is an 8MP camera on the front, offering a 77.4-degree wide-angle lens. Connectivity features offered by the phablet include Wi-Fi 802.11 ac dual-band, Bluetooth 4.1 Low Energy, GPS with GLONASS, and 4G LTE. The phablet packs a 3500mAh capacity battery inside, which delivers decent results. In the audio department, the main highlight is Dolby ATMOS support. Like most other smartphones in its price range, the Vibe K5 Note does come with a fingerprint scanner, mounted at the back. In terms of dimensions, it measures 152 x 75.7 x 8.49mm and weighs in at 165 grams. When it comes to software, the Vibe K5 Note currently runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
