The end of October brought us the Android 4.4 KitKat update and a new Nexus smartphone. Even though there were some rumors saying that Google will also introduce a successor for the Nexus 10, it didn't happen.
Reddit user /u/n10tipster (most likely a throwaway account) who is also a Telefonica (O2) employee, has shown /r/Android a rendering of what it seems to be the next-generation Nexus 10. The Reddit user claims to have gotten the Nexus 10 image from Telefonica's data base, and as you can see below and, just as one of the commenters noted, "that's a terrible render."
Behind the annoying watermark, which will be gone once the Nexus 10 is announced, you can see that there's no status bar, that the navigation bar is missing gradient, and that the icons have no labels. This is either a forgery or Telefonica did a really poor job with their rendering.
The details regarding the next-gen Nexus 10 are shallow, but reports are indicating that LG will manufacture the new tablet, after the Nexus 10 2012 was manufactured by Samsung.
The Reddit leak also hints at Telefonica's price for Nexus 10, which, according to the picture below, has been set to £299 ($482). Of course, the Google Play price of the Nexus 10 2013 will be lower than that, but at least we know what to expect from the retailers.
What's your opinion? Is this a real Telefonica rendering or /u/n10tipster just had a day off and wanted to mess with us? Shout out in the comments section below.
