Earlier last month, the folks at Google officially introduced Android 5.0 Lollipop. The Lollipop announcement also brought us two new Nexus devices, the Nexus 6 and the Nexus 9. As you may know, the latter one is an 8.9-inch tablet manufactured by HTC.
Google started accepting Nexus 9 pre-orders as of October 17th through Play Store and now we are glad to announce you that the tablet is now available for purchase. You can order yours from Google Play Store using this link. It's also worth noting that the tablet is currently listed as "in stock" and that it leaves warehouse in 1-2 business days.
Nexus 9 is currently available in Indigo Black and Lunar White color options. You can also choose whether you want 16 GB or 32 GB of internal storage. Google will also release the Nexus 9 with WiFi + LTE connectivity and a third color option is also on its way. The 16 GB Nexus 9 WiFi has a price of $399, while the 32 GB model is priced at $479.
I remind you that Nexus 9 sports an 8.9-inch IPS LCD display with 4:3 aspect ratio, 1536 x 2048 resolution, and 281 ppi pixel density, while being underpinned by a64-bit enabled Nvidia Tegra K1 chipset with dual-core 2.3 GHz Denver CPU and Kepler DX1 GPU. The tablet also arrives with 2 GB of RAM, 16/32 GB of native storage, and a 6,700 mAh battery.
On the back of the device there's an 8 MP primary shooter with autofocus, LED flash, and 1080p@30fps video recording, while the front panel accommodates a 1.6 MP camera with 720p video recording capabilities. Connectivity-wise, it arrives with WiFi ac, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, and microUSB 2.0. Nexus 9 is 228.2 mm tall, 153.7 mm wide, 7.9 mm thin, while weighing in at 425 grams. As you may already know, it comes pre-loaded with Android 5.0 Lollipop.
