Samsung KIES has received today a brand new OTA Update build for South Korea. The Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean is the base build and now it cna be downloaded by any user who wants to create new custom ROMs or restore their device to stock firmware.
The Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean firmware released is for the E300S model of the Samsung Galaxy S4. That's the South Korean model and it has been made available so that developers will work and release their own edited builds based on it. The firmware file measure almost 2GB in size, which is one of biggest ever Jelly Bean stock updates, which is due to the brand new Samsung applications that have been packed in the Nature UX 2.0 interface of Galaxy S4 phone.
The South Korean variant of Samsung Galaxy S4 which has the full model set to SHV-E300S packs the Exynos 5 Octa CPU with LTE support. Other main features are the 4.99-inch Full HD Super Amoled screen, 2GB RAM, PowerVR SGX 544MP3 GPU, 13MP camera, the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, tons of new S features and addition camera functions.
E300SKSUAMDK is the firmware build of the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean file released today for Korean Samsung Galaxy S4 phone. It is available through from KIES servers or you can choose to get it from SamMobile web site here. Note that you will have to create an account at their web page in order to download the firmware file.
Since this file has been launched, you can expect that from now on we will see new custom ROMs based on it and customization files that should be used by Galaxy S4 owners to improve its overall performances. CyanogenMod, AOKP, ParanoidAndroid and all the other popular developers will begin their work on this build.
