OnePlus 5T Rumoured To Feature 18:9 Aspect Ratio Display, Most Likely To Launch On November 20

OnePlus is gearing up to launch a successor to the OnePlus 5 smartphone, dubbed OnePlus 5T. As the device is nearing its launch, the grapevine is soring with leaks about it. According to a serial leakster, Evan Blass, the upcoming smartphone is expected to feature 18:9 aspect ratio bezel-less display.

Blass further claims that the device is set to launch on November 20. He took to Twitter to reveal that one of his reliable insider sources have hinted that the device will sport 18:9 aspect ratio. These claims from Blass arrive a day after OnePlus 5T’s specifications were leaked on AnTuTu. A report from GizmoChina states that the upcoming phone bears the model number A5010. Apparently, the OnePlus 5 carried the model number A5000.

According to the specs spotted on AnTuTu, the OnePlus 5T may come with a 6-inch 2160×1080 pixels 18:9 display. The device is most likely to feature a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel rather than the front as seen on previous OnePlus phones. Some reports also claim that the device could come with¬†2.5D glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front.

The device is expected to come powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset paired with Adreno 540 GPU. It is most likely to feature 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. GizmoChina also points that the phone could launch in two variants – 8GB RAM/128GB storage and 6GB RAM/64GB storage.

Regarding cameras on the upcoming device, reports suggest that it could sport a 20MP+ 16MP dual camera setup on the rear. On the software front, the phone is expected to run Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. OnePlus is yet to confirm all the reports that have been coming out for the OnePlus 5. So, until the company officially launches the device, we should take all the above-mentioned claims with a pinch of salt.
