How to Root Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 running on Android Oreo

Install TWRP Recovery

  1. The TWRP recovery file available for your Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 can be downloaded from here – save the custom recovery package on desktop.
  2. Next, set up the flashing program on your PC: download Odin from here and then run the downloaded file and follow on-screen prompts for resuming the installation process.
  3. Afterwards, switch off your handset, wait a few seconds and then enter download mode: press and hold the Power, Volume Down and Home buttons.
  4. Run Odin on your computer and when done connect your Galaxy A7 with your PC via USB cable.
  5. Now, on the flashing program you should receive the ‘added’ message while the ID:COM field should be now colored in yellow or blue; if that’s not happening, on your computer reinstall your phone’s drivers and then retry.
  6. Good; now on Odin click on the AP button and select the TWRP recovery packages.

  1. On your computer download the other files that must be used during the root operation: the np-verity encryption disabler (from here), the rmm bypass file (from here) and the root exploit (from here).
  2. Save all these files on desktop.
  3. Power off your Galaxy A7 and wait a few moments; afterwards, reboot your Android device into recovery mode – press and hold Power, Volume Up and Home buttons.
  4. In recovery choose to make a full wipe: just select ‘wipe data factory reset’ followed by ‘wipe cache partition’ and by ‘wipe dalvik cache’.
  5. Return to main menu of recovery and choose to reboot into Android Mode.
  6. Connect your Galaxy A7 with your computer with the help of the USB cable.
  7. Transfer the downloaded files from desktop to your handset.
