The Samsung Galaxy M40 is now getting a brand new official firmware security patch that should improve your Android 9.0 Pie performance. The new OTA update will reach all devices this month.
The new Android 9.0 Pie official update number is M405FDDU1ASG2 and it comes with better face recognition software and enhanced camera performance. Another cool thing added by this firmware update is the Blue Light Filter, a feature that was missing from the Galaxy M40 device until now.
The Blue Light Filter was a major function that the Galaxy M40 users were missing on, as it is a great tool to use when you're in a dark room and you wish to not get blinded every time you open an app with a white theme. You can set a schedule for the Blue Light Filter feature, as you can set it to launch when the night falls and keep it enabled until you're getting up the next morning.
The Galaxy M40 new update improves the Camera app performance and it greatly enhances the speed of the Face Recognition function. There are no other new functions and improvements added by this new update.
The Samsung Galaxy M40 Android 9.0 Pie June 2019 official update is rolled out in stages all over the world, but you should know that it will take a while before it reaches all devices. If the new update has failed to arrive in your region, then you can only wait for it, as it shouldn't take more than a couple of weeks for it to be available for your device.
If you want to check for new updates you can go to Settings> Software Update> Download and Install menu. If a new firmware update is available you can confirm the process and your Galaxy M40 phone will take care of the rest of the process automatically. Please note that in case you have modified your Galaxy M40 official firmware in any way, then the new update won't be made available for it.
