At Mobile World Congress Samsung revealed the Galaxy Note 8.0, a device which is supposed to rival Apple's iPad Mini. While the Note 8 is similar to the one of the iPad Mini, it comes with far better specs than Apple's tablet. We already knew a lot of details about the device before the actual launch.
At the Mobile World Congress, Samsung only showed us the white variant of the Galaxy Note 8 which can be compared with other tablets such as the Nexus 7 and the iPad Mini. However, it looks like another color version of the handset has been leaked. The leaked image features the Charcoal Black Note 8.
Of course, this color version hasn't been confirmed yet by the company, with the fact that the iPad Mini comes in both white and black versions, it would not be such a big surprise if the Galaxy Note 8 will also be available in both colors. Also, we already know that Samsung usually launches its new handsets in one or two color variants, and after a few months the company released additional versions in terms of color, so we expect that the black Galaxy Note 8 to be launched sooner or later.
If you are considering to buy one and don't know the specs of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 then let me tell you that the tablet comes with an 8-inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800. It's powered by a quad-core 1.6 GHz CPU and sports 2 GB of RAM. The device will be available in two versions depending on the mount of on-board storage, 16 GB and 32 GB, but which can be expanded via microSD. The tablet boats two cameras, one in the rear and one in the front. The primary shooter is a 5 MP one, and the rear-facing snapper has 1.3 MP.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is somehow different from the other tablets as it comes with a feature that allows you to make phone calls. There isn't anything else to mention apart from the fact that it runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and that it comes with a 4600 mAh battery.
