Motorola has started sending out invites for Droid Razr HD Android 4.4.2 KitKat update soak tests. If you happen to own a Droid Razr HD terminal you should receive an email from Motorola Feedback Network to test the new firmware on your device.

The soak tests are conducted to see whether there are any major issues with the new firmware before it's released for everybody. The Droid Razr HD Android 4.4.2 soak tests begun just a couple of days after Motorola Feedback Network invited Droid Ultra and Droid Maxx users to test KitKat 4.4.2 on their devices.

The Droid Razr HD Android 4.4.2 update arrives will all the KitKat-specific goodies such as transparent status and nav bars, white status bar iconography, cloud printing, full screen album and movie art in the lock screen, color emoji support, new Location Menu, or immersive mode, along with Moto-specific enhancements such as updated camera app and security improvements.

Considering that the Droid Razr HD Android 4.4.2 soak tests have begun, it's safe to assume that the new software update will be rolled out for everybody else in the next few days if everything goes according to plan for the company.

As you may know, once the Android 4.4 KitKat update for Droid Razr HD will be released officially you should receive a system update message in the notification area. Tap on it then follow the on-screen instructions. Alternatively, you can check for the update manually under Settings > About phone > Software updates > Check now.
