Sony has considerably improved its smartphone portfolio, especially lately, by repeated releases of high-end devices such as Xperia T and Xperia Z, the latter one being the company's first quad-core smartphone. The manufacturer is also activating in the middle end and low budget segment, therefore it is expected to announce future devices that meet these requirements.
After the announcement of Xperia Z smartphone Xperia Tablet Z, Sony seems to have less to reveal at MWC in Barcelona next month. However, there's a terminal rumored for some time, codenamed HuaShan, which is expected to be released sometime this year. The latest sources reveal some of the features we can expect from the future device including the time frame when it will be officially revealed.
Sony Huashan is, according to the latest rumors, expected to launch under the name of Xperia SP. The solid information comes directly from Indonesia, where Postel certification service - the same as The State's FFC, has certified the terminal for launch.
The device is expected to arrive in mid-end segment and will probably be announced next month at MWC 2013.
It seems though that the Japan-based company is also readying a low-end smartphone, the model named Xperia L. This is the second device to receive certification from Postel in Indonesia and is also expected to be announced soon.
