T-Mobile has released a brand new official update for all the Google Nexus 4 on their network. If you're packing a stock firmware on your device, then the new LMY48M Android 5.1.1 update should arrive any time now.

This new Android 5.1.1 Lollipop LMY48M build is rolling out over-the-air and it comes with minor bug fixes and Android Security Patches. The official T-Mobile Changelog doesn't list any other extra changes in this release, so you should treat this new update as a small one that doesn't bring any new major features.

Since this update is being released in stages, then you should know that it will not be available for all T-Mobile Nexus 4 users at the same time. Don't worry in case the new firmware upgrade doesn't arrive today, as the official Android 5.1.1 LMY48M OTA Update roll out will continue up until the last Nexus 4 device is activated.

The previous build of Android 5.1.1 came with the StageFright Security Patch, but there were some problems with it and now there an upgraded StageFright Security Patch comprised within the new Android 5.1.1 LMY48M build.

In order to get the Android 5.1.1 update for your T-Mobile Nexus 4, then you should know that the LMY48I Android 5.1.1 build has to be already installed on it. If you have an older Android build installed on your Nexus 4, then you will need to go to Software Updates menu under Settings> About Phone to verify for newer Android 5.1 Lollipop update builds.

After you install the new update on your phone you can tell us in comments if you've found any other changes during testing. Also, note that there are no news on the availability of Android 5.1.1 LMY48M OTA Update for any other Nexus 4 phones on different carriers.

If you are running a custom ROM on your smartphone, then the Android 5.1.1 update will not arrive through official T-Mobile channels, and you will have to look for alternative upgrading methods.
