It seems like Samsung and Verizon have decided to launch the official Android 4.3 OTA Update today for all Galaxy S4 devices across the United States. If this is true, then it means that Verizon becomes the first major US carrier to push out the latest Jelly Bean firmware update for Galaxy S4.
The Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for Samsung Galaxy S4 Verizon comes with firmware version number VRUEMJ7 and it brings the: latest OS version, support for Galaxy Gear, Group Play 2.5 which is already present on Galaxy Note 3, Samsung KNOX Security support and other minor tweaks and improvements. Also, Verizon's AWS Band 4 will be enabled with this installation.
The VRUEMJ7 Android 4.3 Update is pushed over-the-air and, if you own a Verizon Galaxy S4 then you should keep an eye on the notification panel. Also, you can check yourself for new updates by opening the Settings menu, then go to Software Updates. If there is a new firmware update available, then you should simply click once to download and then complete the installation. Note that the update files might measure over 1.5GB and it is recommended for you to download via Wi-Fi in order to avoid mobile data costs.
Besides Verizon, all the other major US Carriers are preparing to launch the official update to Jelly Bean 4.3 for their version of Galaxy S4. But, that should take place early November.
